The Arkansas State Crime Laboratory comprises approximately one-hundred fifty people distributed throughout twelve different sections. Each section plays some role in processing evidence, whether it is receiving, testing, storing information regarding our findings, or responding to public inquiry.
The lab is currently the only fully-functional forensic laboratory in the state. We accept evidence from investigations originating anywhere from the city, state, or federal level.
Each section is held to stringent quality guidelines that help ensure the integrity of each piece of evidence and the accuracy of each test report. Each section also has safety policies and procedures to help ensure the safety of all laboratory personnel.
