Two state police sergeants received recommendations for promotion to the rank of lieutenant today during a meeting of the Arkansas State Police Commission. The recommendations were presented by Colonel Bill Bryant, state police director, and approved by the commissioners.
Special Agent Randall Murphy, 51, of Woodruff County, assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division, Company A, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
Lieutenant Murphy is a 14 year veteran of the department and will assume command of CID, Company A, headquartered at Little Rock.
Trooper Dustin Morgan, 47, of Lonoke County, assigned to the Regulatory & Building Services Division, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
Lieutenant Morgan is an 11 year veteran of the department and will assume additional supervisory responsibilities within the same assigned division.
